Spaced repetition, review intervals and building your own deck.
Flashcards use spaced repetition: after each review you rate how well you knew the card, and Poomio schedules the next showing just before you would forget it.
- Rate honestly — marking cards "easy" when you guessed breaks the schedule.
- Cards you miss come back sooner; cards you know drift further apart.
- Vocabulary works the same way with high-frequency SAT words.
- A short daily review beats long occasional sessions.
