Getting the most from the AI tutor

How to ask good questions and what the tutor can and cannot do.

The tutor is best when you ask about a specific question or concept rather than something broad.

  • Good: "Explain why answer C is wrong in this question about subject-verb agreement."
  • Good: "Give me a shortcut for systems of equations word problems."
  • Less useful: "Teach me math."

Limits

The tutor is generated by an AI model. It is very reliable on SAT-style reasoning, but it can occasionally be wrong — check anything surprising against the Learn lessons or official College Board material. It does not give admissions, medical, legal or financial advice.
